WILLIAM LASHLEY

BIOMEDICAL ENGINEER

My name is William Lashley, I am a dedicated Biomedical Engineer with a unique journey that began in the United States Navy. My career started as a Hull Technician aboard the USS Tortuga, where I developed foundational skills in ship maintenance and team coordination. I later transitioned to the USS Farragut (DDG), where I was entrusted with the critical responsibility of welding damaged pipes—including water lines, gray-water lines, and sewage lines—to ensure the ship remained operational and combat-ready. During my service, I honed my ability to lead and train individuals in high-stress situations, including combating fire, flooding, and toxic gas incidents. I was honored to receive the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for my contributions and dedication.

After completing my service, I transitioned into the field of biomedical engineering, driven by a passion for applying my lifelong skills to make a meaningful impact on the world. With a solid foundation in engineering principles and hands-on experience, I am eager to contribute to innovative projects that improve lives and advance healthcare technologies. My journey reflects resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to excellence—qualities I bring to every challenge I undertake.
